Dr. Pearse Lyons, President and founder of Alltech, and Jim Host were honored recently by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Lyons and Host were the first recipients of the Chamber's Commonwealth Legacy Award for their leadership on two projects that have had an enormous impact on Kentucky.

Dr. Lyons was honored for his crucial role in the success of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Jim Host was honored for bringing about the KFC Yum! Center. The ceremony featured tributes from several notable Kentuckians, including: Governor Steve Beshear, and former governors John Y. Brown Jr., and Ernie Fletcher.

HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, President of the Fédération Équestre Internationale, praised Dr. Lyons and Mr. Host, by video from her home in Dubai. She described Dr. Lyons as the guiding force behind the World Equestrian Games. This video includes her introductions of Dr. Lyons and Jim Host.
