Mandi McLeod has worked in the dairy sector in a wide variety of roles. She has designed and / or implemented extension programs in New Zealand, Australia and China; conducted strategic planning in rural Russia; and consulted on farm management, business continuation and succession planning for farming families. Oh yes, she is also an equity partner in a dairy farm and dry-stock farm in New Zealand where she lives.

We were lucky enough to get her to come to Lexington, Kentucky for Global Dairy 500 where she participated in our panel discussion, entitled Forecast 2025: A vision for the future. I asked her to tell me the most important thing that dairy farmers need to do in the pursuit of environmental and economic sustainability.
