Dairy farmers and beef producers from 31 countries across the world arrived in Lexington, Kentucky today for Global Dairy 500 and Global Beef 500. This is the third year for Global Dairy 500 and the first year for Global Beef 500. The theme for 2010 is "Sustainability in a Changing World".

We kicked off the event this evening with a relaxed Kentucky Ale Welcome Reception. After a long day or two of travel, attendees were glad to reconnect with old colleagues, meet new friends and enjoy a Kentucky Ale.

Tomorrow morning we will dive right in with some exciting presentations and panel discussions on the future of the beef and dairy industries. The afternoon includes a tour of Alltech's Global Headquarters and we will finish the day at Alltech Arena in the Kentucky Horse Park for a Bluegrass Barbeque.
